Funky Fold Book

Dear friends,

Today I would like to demonstrate how to make this mini book with the unique and funky fold pages.

***
Tools & Materials:
81/2" x 11" paper
Paper cutter
Bone folder
Glue stick
Ribbon
Images for collage
Mat board

1. Cut from a 81/2" x11" paper, six 3.5" x 3.5" squares.
2. Start with the first square and fold it horizontally to a half .
3. Open the paper and fold it vertically.
4. Open the paper and fold it diagonally.

5. Now open the paper so you can see all creases.
6. Pick it up and place your fingers in the diagonal crease and push it in.
7. Flatten it with a bone folder and burnish the two folded sides and center. Continue doing steps 1-8 to five more squares.
8. Take two folded pages, open one page that the folds facing upward and the second one folds facing downwards.
*

9. Glue the right square corner of the left page to the left corner square of the right page. Continue gluing the rest of the pages together but make certain that the pages will be lay down like we did in step 8.
10. Cut two 7/8" x 7/8" squares of mat board for the cover of the book (front and back).
11. Create a small collage about 1.5" x 1.5" and glue it to the front cover.
12. Cut two 8" pieces of ribbon Spread glue all over the front page and place ribbon in center.

14. Glue front mat board over ribbon and front page of book.
15. Flip book over and glue ribbon and back cover.
16. Open the book and start decorating his pages.
17. Tie both sides of the book and you are done.

I hope you like this project and got inspired by it and you'll make one of your own. Remember, you can make it as big or as small as you would like with the option to add as many pages as well. I'll be delighted to see your book; if you'll e-mail me a photo to edesignsboutique@comcast.net I will share it on this blog. Have fun with it!

Thanks for stopping by and letting me share this funky project with you.
